Guests will be assigned to four-person rooms with large double beds. Please let us know on your RSVP form if you have strong roommate preferences! We will try our best to accommodate you.

Lodging is included in the registration fee, and all attendees are expected to stay at this location unless discussed with the Advisory Board. Friday events, Saturday working sessions, and optional meetings will take place here.

Getting from the Boston Logan Airport to Holiday Inn Boston--Somerville

Taxi - 10 min - estimated $28.63 with tip

Public transportation - 40 min - $1.70 or $2.00
  1. Follow signs to the nearest airport shuttle stop. Buy a ticket ($2 / ride) from the machine; paying with cash on board is also acceptable. If you're lucky, there is a CharlieCard (plastic, not paper CharlieTicket) lying around/on top of the machine. Each ticket loaded on a CharlieCard costs $1.70. At any real T station, you can ask a station operator for a free Charlie Card.
  2. Take the MBTA airport shuttle. It looks like this: http://bit.ly/pWwrUB, and runs every 6 minutes. 
  3. At the end, switch to the Airport subway station. Take the Blue Line towards Government Center. 
  4. Take 3 stops to State St. Switch to the Orange Line towards Oak Grove.
  5. Take 4 stops to Sullivan.
  6. A scheduled shuttle is available from Sullivan to Holiday Inn, but you'll need to call ahead. Ask front desk 617-628-1000 for availability. Otherwise, walking takes 6 minutes.
  7. Find Cambridge St and turn right.
  8. Walk ~5 blocks. Cambridge St becomes Washington St. Holiday Inn is on the left (30 Washington St).

Public transportation - 15 min - $1.25 (with CharlieCard) or $1.50 
1) Cross the street. Take the 86 bus (inbound, to Reservoir/Cleveland Circle via Harvard/Johnston) at Washington St @ Mt Vernon St.
  • AM Saturday schedule: Departures at 7:17, 7:47, 8:27, 9:07, 9:53
  • AM Sunday schedule: Departures at 7:32, 8:42, 9:52
  • Online schedule
2) Take 14 stops (9 min) to Kirkland St @ Kirkland Place.
3) Walk down Kirkland St ~3 min to the end (will see the Harvard Science Center).
4) Turn right and continue on road ~3 min. Maxwell Dworkin is on the left, across from the Harvard Museum of Natural History.



Getting from Harvard Square to Holiday Inn Boston--Somerville


On Saturday evening after dinner, you can meet us to go back to the hotel in a group or return on your own. Advisors will be at the bus stop at 9:02pm to head back for the 9:30pm optional Advisory Board meeting at the hotel. Jenny Chen will also be at the bus stop at 10:21pm to take you back to the hotel. After that, refer to the bus times listed in step 4.
  1. Enter the Harvard Square T station through the main entrance (in front of Starbucks and Pinkberry)
  2. Proceed to the Upper Busway (down the stairs, to the left and upwards)
  3. Take the 86 bus
  4. Departure times on Saturday evening: 6:55pm, 7:23, 7:48, 8:18, 9:02, 9:41, 10:21, 11:37, 12:47am
  5. Take to the Myrtle St stop. (10 min)

Public transportation - 50 min - $1.70 or $2.00
  1. Walk back to Harvard Square.
    1. Turn right / walk 3 min down Oxford St
    2. At the intersection of Kirkland St and Oxford St, walk between Memorial Hall (huge brick building with stained glass) and the Science Center (box-y concrete building) towards Harvard Yard (fenced/gated)
    3. Walk diagonally across Harvard Yard. Exit through the big gates across the Yard from the John Harvard statue and turn left until a MBTA entrance is visible.
  2. Take the Red Line towards Braintree (downstairs).
  3. Take 6 stops to South Station. Go upstairs (follow signs, do not exit station) towards Silver Line.
  4. Board Silver Line 1 (SL1; farthest on left).
  5. Take 4+ stops until your terminal (see signs inside bus for terminal corresponding to your airline).
